Communists initiate procedure for dismissing Marian Lupu

The Communist Party initiated the procedure for discharging Head of Parliament Marian Lupu. The party submitted a bill to this effect to Parliament and called on the other parliamentary factions to support it, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a statement issued by the PCRM, the initiative was formulated following the postponement of this week’s sittings of Parliament and the meeting of the Standing Bureau. The announcement was made by the legislative body’s press service. The PCRM said that this points to the political degradation of the Parliament’s administration. The Communists also said that if the legislature’s administration transmitted its responsibilities to its press service, the MPs must react and punish Marian Lupu. In a communiqué issued by the Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Division on March 13, it is said that in virtue of the high number of legislative initiatives concerning the socioeconomic sector that must be systematized and studied thoroughly, the legislative body will not hold sittings this week. The next sittings of the legislature will take place next week. Today’s meeting of the Standing Bureau was postponed to a later date.
