Company that will design shelter for stray dogs to be chosen soon

The working group of the Chisinau City Hall's Constructions Division will select the company that will design the shelter with veterinary clinic for stray dogs in 30 days, the Division's head Roman Sofroni told Info-Prim Neo. He said that three companies bid to carry out the designing works, submitting tenders of 200,000 lei, 400,000 lei and 700,000 lei. The shelter will be built on Balcani St in Chisinau's Rascani district. It will include a veterinary clinic and a cemetery for dogs. According to a scheme by the Constructions Division, five to ten dogs will be kept in one cage. Initially, the shelter will accommodate up to 500 dogs. Later, its capacity will be extended to 1,500-2,000 dogs. About 20 persons, including a veterinarian, will work there.
