Compensations of 15m lei to be provided to victims of political repression

The Government decided to allocate 15.4 million lei to the local authorities for paying compensations to the victims of political repression, Info-Prim Neo reports. Under article 12 of the law on the rehabilitation of the victims of political repression, these persons are paid the value of the goods that cannot be returned from the budgets of the territorial-administrative units. But in most of the cases, there is not enough money and the local authorities ask that the costs be covered by the state. 2 million lei of the 15.4 million will be used to pay the compensations set in 2008, 11.8 million lei for those set in 2009, while 1.5 million lei for the compensations for 2010.
