Competition Council says water meters must be installed by supplier

The water meters must be set up by the water supplier SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, as stipulated in a decision adopted by the Competition Council, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Council, the Chisinau Court of Appeals upheld the Competition Council’s decision providing that “Apa-Canal Chisinau” is obliged to use its own measuring means to determine the volume of water consumed by end users. The water supplier is also obliged to sign direct contracts with the consumers for the provision of water supply and sewerage services, says the communiqué issued by the Competition Council.
