On January 21, composer, singer and arranger Anatol Roscovan would have reached 50. The commemoration events for the artist of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” started on January 20 at the Radio House with a concert by the National Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Gheorghe Mustea. Another concert will be held at the Railway Workers Palace on January 21, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Anatol Roscovan passed away at the age of 48 after struggling with a serious disease during almost two years. He left a grieving mother, wife and two children, dozens of beautiful songs and many pupils who attended the singing class of “RAV-Studio” at the Railway Workers Palace.
“Anatol lived a short, but very tumultuous life,” said one of the best friends of the artist Mihai Rusu, the vice director of the Chisinau Music School “Valery Poleacov”. “We met at the College “Stefan Neaga”. I realized immediately that he was a talented musician and had a strong character. He was talented, but very modest and very receptive. Life did not change him at all,” said Mihai Rusu.
The concert at the Radio House involved Anatol Roscovan's colleagues Margareta Ivanus, Cezara, Costea Burlacu and Corina Tepes, Vitalie Advahov, as well as his wife and son Angela Cabari and Stefan Roscovan.
“We worked together for 10 years,” said Gheorghe Mustea. “He was a professional, a responsible and hardworking man. He worked at night if need be. At the same time, he was a modest and honest person. Together we accompanied the greatest artists of Moldova and guests from abroad.”
The artists' mother Ioana Roscovan grieves the death of her son. “I cannot understand how God could take my child before me,” the woman said with tears in her eyes. “He was a caring and loving son. He could not come to our house often so I listened to the radio every day to hear his voice. I continue listening to the radio, but cry every time I hear him. He encountered difficulties all his life.”
Anatol's pupils became famous singers in Moldova and Romania. Among them are Natalia Gordienco, Lina, Carisma, Costy Burlacu, Cornelia Chise, Stefanel Roscovan, Mihaela Chisnencu, Nicoleta Nuca, Nicoleta Darabana and many others. They won many prizes at different contests, including “New Wave”, “Slavyanskiy Bazar”, “Children's Mamaia”, World Delphic Games, “Golden Wings”, “Open Europe” and others.
Romanian singer Mihai Traistariu has never met Anatol Roscovan, but knows the results achieved by his pupils. “It's a pity that I did not know Anatol Roscovan personally. However, I know some of his songs and his pupils. They have a great future ahead in the Romanian pop music,” Traistariu told Info-Prim Neo.
A requiem for Anatol Roscovan will be held at the Central Cemetery in Chisinau on January 21, starting at 12.00. The commemoration concert at the Railway Workers Palace will start at 18.00. Ion Suruceanu, Iurie Sadovnic, the bands “Noroc” and “Colinda”, Angela Cabari, Mircea Gutu, Irina and Anatol Bivol, Margareta Ivanus, Vitalie Dani, Gheorghe Urschi, Carisma, Costy Burlacu, Corina Tepes, Stefanel Roscovan, Mihaela Chisnencu, Alina Zavtoni and other singers will perform at the concert.
