Concert dedicated to Chisinau's Day will last for eight hours

The City Hall has prepared an extraordinary concert for Chisinau's Day. It will involve famous singers from Moldova and Romania, the head of the Culture Division Lucia Culev said Monday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The festivities will start at 08.00 with laying of flowers at the monument to Ruler Stephan the Great. A service will begin at the God's Birth Cathedral at 08.30. A ceremony to officially open the holiday will be held in the Great National Assembly Square afterward. Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca and members of delegations from Romania, Sweden, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries will deliver congratulations messages. As many as 63 companies working in Chisinau will exhibit their products on Stefan cel Mare Blvd. Exhibitions of paintings, graphics, handicrafts, books and flowers will be set up in the square of the God's Birth Cathedral and in the Central Park. Awards will be given to elderly persons and students from Chisinau for achievements in science, medicine, culture and sport in the Central Park, starting at 13.00. One hour later, the renovated street Alba Iulia will be put in commission. The main concert in the Great National Assembly Square will start at 16.00 and will last for eight hours. It will bring together the bands “Lautarii” and “Naguale”, singers Irina Loghin, Catalin Crisan, Dinu Iancu Salajanu, Dan Balan and others. The festivities will end with a display of fireworks.
