A Congress of Teachers was set up in Moldova. This is a platform that brings together teachers and students united around one objective – to promote the national Romanian values. The Congress also aims to build a bridge between teachers and students and to become involved in the reformation of the education system.
In a news conference at IPN, the Conges’ head Boris Volosatyi said that in a forum on February 18, which involved students and teachers from different institutions, from kindergartens to universities, the participants decided to found a non-political organization that would promote a very clear patriotic message. The Congress of Teacher aims to become a platform that will be seen and heard in society and at the level of education authorities. The Congress members will not mobilize against someone, but will work to promote the national values.
Boris Volosatyi said the members of the Congress will transmit a patriotic message to help the people realize who we are as a nation. The teachers are urged to help the students organize activities with patriotic connotation and to offer moral and logistic support for the national Romanian values to be successfully promulgated. The Congress will also raise the reformation of the education system and will formulate proposals for improving this process for the Ministry of Education.
The Congress’ deputy head Vlad Biletski said the organization aims to bring together teachers from all the branches of education and to lay the basis for promoting patriotism, the national values and love for the country. Among the first planned activities is the celebration of Dragobete on February 24, of Martsishor on March 1 and of the Day of Remembrance for those Killed in the Nistru War on March 2.
