Constitutional law experts will be consulted by colleagues from abroad

Foreign constitutional law experts will come to Chisinau at the start of next week to instruct national specialists how to amend the legislation so as to avoid political blockages in the future, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said in a press briefing on Thursday, Info-Prim Neo reports. “A team of national experts are now performing a thorough examination of what a reform means. They will finish the work together with foreign specialists. Afterward, we will put forward proposals for amending not only the Constitution, but also other pieces of legislation that will be aimed at transforming the government system into an authentic parliamentary one,” said Vlad Filat. He stressed that the proposal to hold a referendum to modify the procedure for electing the President will help resolve future problems as the present situation may repeat.
