The National Assistance and Information Center for NGOs of Moldova “Contact” is to select an external organization or independent expert for assessing the project “Increasing Citizen Participation in Public Life at Local and Regional Level in Transnistria and Gagauzia”.
“We have already carried out an internal assessment, but need an external one in order to have objective results. Therefore, we announced an open contest to select an external evaluator,” Dan Bogdea, project coordinator for the Center “Contact”, has told Info-Prim Neo.
The selected evaluator will pay working visits to the beneficiary NGOs to collect facts about the results projected to be achieved within the project. “Only this way, will we be able to know if the feedback is adequate or not. The results identified by the internal monitoring are visible, but it is not right for us to praise ourselves,” Bogdea said.
The project “Increasing Citizen Participation in Public Life at Local and Regional Level in Transnistria and Gagauzia” was financed by Soros-Moldova Foundation within the Civil Society Program. The project activities included instruction of NGOs and experience exchange between the right and left banks of the Nistru River.
“The project lasted from 2007 until 2009. During the three years, we took steps to contribute to the development of the NGO sector in the conflict and post-conflict areas,” said Dan Bogdea.
The applications can be submitted to the “Contact” Center by September 17, 4pm.
