The Government has announced a contest to fill a post of judge at the Constitutional Court given that the term in office of a judge of the two appointed by the executive expired on April 14. Applications can be submitted between April 20 and April 27, 5pm, IPN reports.
The candidates must have an irreproachable reputation, knowledge in national law and public international law and experience in the legal system. The file in a closed envelope is submitted in person under signature to the State Chancellery situated at 1 Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau, office 550.
On April 14, the term of office of Constitutional Court judge of Alexandru Tanase, who is also the institution’s president, expired. But he will continue to work until a new judge is sworn in. Alexandru Tanase was named to office in April 2011 for a six-year term.
