The National Clinical Hospital will have a renovated cooking block as of April. Last year the Government allocated 15 million lei for improving the technical state of the hospital’s main block and increasing the quality of the medical services provided for people. A part of this money will go to repair the cooking block, IPN reports.
According to the medical institution, the hospital received humanitarian aid from Germany in the form of kitchen furniture and utensils. It is planned that the existing equipment will be gradually renewed and the wiring system will be changed.
Acting chief engineer Ulian Rotari said the block will include an eatery for the institution’s personnel. “The cooking block is great in area as about 1,200 patients a day were served there earlier. Now there are almost 900 beds for patients. A part of the block will be thus used to set up an eatery for employees,” he stated.
