Cooperation in human genetics to be discussed in Chisinau

An international symposium themed “Development of Cooperation in Human Genetics between the EU and Eastern European and Central Asian Countries” will take place in Chisinau on April 28 and 29. The event is organized by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in concert with the European Commission and the Greek International Center for Black Sea Studies. According to a communiqué from the Academy, the scientific conference aims to identify the research themes of common interest for the countries of the European Union and Eastern Europe and Central Asia and include them in the specific international cooperation activities of the EU Framework Program for Research and Technological Development (FP7) At the start of the symposium, there will be presented the opportunities offered by FP7 for medical science researches. For the first time, the Moldovan scientists will have the possibility of promoting scientific subjects of interest as part of European programs. The symposium will be held as part of the European “Science and Technology International Cooperation Network for Eastern European and Central Asian Countries - IncoNet EECA” Project financed by the European Commission through FP7.
