Copies of criminal record can be obtained online

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched the “e-Cazier” public electronic service on Wednesday, with the help of the Electronic Government Center. According to Interior Minister Dorin Recean, in order to have access to the online criminal record the citizens will need a computer connected to the Internet. Orders will be registered 24/7. The physical presence will be necessary only to pick up the document, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Starting today, citizens will be able to order a copy of a criminal record from home, without having to come to Chisinau, avoiding the never-ending queues from the Operative Evidence and Information Division at the same time. Furthermore, you will also be able to place an order at one of the 400 electronic payment terminals in the country that support this service”, mentioned Recean. The minister added that the service aims to simplify the criminal record obtainment procedure, which is a necessary paper for many citizens. The copy of the record will be received directly at home in the future.
