Cotul Morii flood victims accommodated at school in Obileni

As many as 81 residents of Cotul Morii village of Hancesti district have been lodged at the secondary schools of the neighboring village Obileni. A large part of the villagers preferred to go to their relatives. Contacted by Info Prim Neo, the secretary of Obileni mayor's office Teodora Pisarenko said the persons who were accommodated at the school are provided with food and water. The costs are covered by the Hancesti mayor's office and a district consumption cooperative. The blankets promised by the central authorities have not yet arrived. The Prut water started to advance towards Obileni at about 2pm on July 7. At least 33 homes run the risk of being flooded. The situation in Dancu village that is situated near the flooded area is under control. According to the local social worker Tatiana Grigoret, 20 houses were inundated after yesterday's rain that lasted for several hours. The water reached the people's yards and homes.
