The Council of the ruling alliance assessed the progress and priorities in implementing reforms and formulated new proposals, especially based on a series of consultations with civil society held recently. The Council members continued the discussions on the initiative to reform the central public administration and agreed that this and an implementation plan will be finalized during the next few weeks, IPN reports.

In a press release, the Council says that the implementation of the roadmap for fulfilling the commitments assumed in the European integration process, which is close to be completed, was a special subject for discussion.

The first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc, who is the executive coordinator of the ruling alliance’s Council, underlined the necessity of stable state polices for supporting the business sector, which would continue the positive experience of the moratorium on state inspections. “We discussed with businessmen and these welcomed the taken measures. We should continue work to stop the abuses and ensure clarity as the situation in this sector was disastrous several months ago,” he stated.

The pay reform in the health sector was a measure with social impact that was examined and supported by the Council. This will apply to the entire personnel working in this sector. The initiative was presented by Minister of Health Ruxanda Glavan, who argued that the new mechanism ensures a salary raise of about 20% for all the categories of employees and equality in the system and encourages the young health professionals.
