The Electoral Bloc “European People’s Platform – Iurie Leanca” (PPEM) will stage a protest in front of the Chisinau City Hall on June 9, staring at 12 noon. Chisinau councilors of the electoral bloc said they will protest against corruption in the local public administration, IPN reports.
In a news conference, PPEM councilor Ruslan Codreanu said the members of the electoral bloc’s group on the Chisinau Council submitted a petition about the quality of the public transport in the municipality of Chisinau, which was signed by about 10,000 people from the 18 suburbs of Chisinau municipality.
The same petition suggests a number of solutions to the problems related to the public transport. The signatories ask to ensure that the minibuses and buses running on suburban routes keep to the schedule. The petitioners also ask that the technical state of the units of transport should be appropriate so as to make sure that the passengers are transported safely.
