The Botanica Court accepted the claim concerning the annulment of the concession of the Chisinau International Airport following a challenge filed by the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) to the Constitutional Court, IPN reports, quoting a communique of the party.

The parliamentary group of the PLR challenged the legality of the concession of the airport and, in accordance with the Court’s recommendation, filed a lawsuit against the Government.

“Despite the steps taken by the PLR to obtain the reexamination of the concession decision, the courts of law refused to try the case during almost a year. Only recently, the Botanica Court accepted the relevant complain and the first hearing was set for March 6. In its resolution, the Government of Moldova, which is the defendant in this case, does not recognize the lawsuit and considers that the Chisinau International Airport was conceded correctly,” reads the communique.

The PLR, which is an extraparliamentary party, announced it will continue its approaches and will insist on annulling the decision by which the Chisinau International Airport was conceded to the Russian company Avia Invest.
