Court of Appeal to decide fate of Papuc-Botnari case next week

The Chisinau Court of Appeals on January 18 will pass judgment in the case of former Minister of the Interior Gheorghe Papuc and former general police commissioner Vladimir Botnari, who are accused of professional negligence during the April 2009 events, prosecutor Sergiu Rosu has told Info-Prim Neo. The prosecutor said that if the generals are acquitted this time again, they will appeal to the Supreme Court of Justice. One year ago, at the end of 2011, the Centru district court exonerated the two. The Botnari-Papuc case was started in June 2010.
