Court of Appeals to decide on Chirtoaca's re-election legality

The Chisinau Court of Appeals is to examine on Thursday, June 30, the appeal by the Communist Party against the district court decision declaring Dorin Chirtoaca a legally re-elected Mayor of Chisinau. The hearing will start at 9:00am, Info-Prim Neo reports. Liberal Dorin Chritoaca won re-election by a narrow margin in a runoff also featuring Communist candidate Igor Dodon, with 50.6% to 49.4%. The Communist Party contested the election as being tainted by fraud and violation of the secret vote principle.
