Court still undecided as to dwellers' suing Termocom to pay damages for illegal switch-off

The Chisinau Economic Court has not yet given its appreciation concerning the request of an Association of Dwellers running a block on Eugen Coca str. in Chisinau to be paid damages for illegally switching the block from heat in the second half of November. They have asked the court to oblige Termocom heating company to resume the heat supply, after they stood switched off illegally. On November 22, Termocom put up with the court's decision and resumed the heat supply to the block of apartments. Earlier Info-Prim Neo reported that the Chisinau Economic Court also decided that Termocom pays the dwellers damages worth 20,000 lei per day for not carrying out its contract obligations, as the heating monopoly had to pay some 200,000 lei. Actually the court has not decided yet as to the payment of damages. Info-Prim Neo regrets the error committed and specifies it took the initiative to correct it.
