The COVID-19 disease caused one more death in Moldova. A woman aged 54 who was hospitalized on April 4 lost the battle with the infection. The number of fatalities from the novel coronavirus now stands at 21, IPN reports.
Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu, after the meeting of the Single Command Center, said that 91 infections with COVID-19 have been confirmed after processing 510 samples. This is the largest number of samples processed during a day since the outbreak.
Of the confirmed cases of infection, three were imported, while 88 were contracted locally, mostly in Chisinau, Soroca and Ștefan Vodă.
The number of infections detected in Moldova is currently at 1,056. Forty patients with COVID-19 have recovered.
