The Ministry of Culture will print the edition “Dumitru Matcovschi, Selected Works” in two volumes in 3,000 copies, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry.
The first volume will contain poems, while the second – two novels: “Autumn of White Pigeons” and “Play for Provincial Theater”.
2014 was declared the Year of Writer Dumitru Matcovschi. On this occasion, there will be carried out a number of activities. In October, there will be staged a musical-literary performance entitled “With your Name”, in memoriam Dumitru Matcovschi. Also then, there will be opened an exhibition of books titled “Dumitru Matcovschi – Poet and Fortress Man”. There will be held a creation workshop “Dumitru Matcovschi” that will involve young authors. The portrait and the bust of Dumitru Matcovschi will be made during the year.
The writer died on June 26, 2013, at the age of 73.
