The ferryboat customs post “Molovata” stopped work on a temporary basis owing to the high winds. More customs posts through which fluvial circulation is authorized could be yet closed for the same reason, IPN reports, with reference to the Customs  Service.

The travelers who intend to cross the Nistru River through the “Molovata” customs post can choose the internal checkpoint “Criuleni 18”, which is situated 32 km away.

The State Hydrometeorological Service issued a yellow code advisory for high winds for March 10 and extended it later for March 11. In parts, the wind is expected to intensify to 18-23 m/s.

More than 20 localities were partially disconnected from the power supply as a result of the high winds of March 10.
The strong winds pulled away roof slates from at least ten houses in Zaicana village of Criuleni district. In Orhei, the wind damaged the roof of a storehouse. In Chisinau, the wind tore away two slates from the roofs of a five-story building situated on Moscovei Blvd. When falling down, the slates damaged a car parked nearby.
