Dan Balan invited as special guest at Faces of Friends Festival

The 10th International Festival Faces of Friends, taking place during June 26-28 traditionally in the town of Cahul, will have pop star Dan Balan among its special guests for the third consecutive time, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Faces of Friends is a special festival to me, I've come with the greatest pleasure”, Dan Balan told a news conference on Thursday, June 25. After the competition part, which will feature 15 contestants, recitals will follow on June 27, and Dan Balan will be among those who will walk on stage in downtown Cahul. “O-Zone, too, is at it's 10th anniversary. That's why you'll hear songs we have produced with O-Zone during these 10 years in its old setting, and then in its newer setting, but also songs from my character Crazy Loop and fresh songs, including rock ballads”, said Dan Balan. Balan added he was working on a new album and would give a concert in Chisinau in autumn. The Festival was first held in 1996 as a convention of singers from Cahul, but it soon grew into a genuine fete for the entire country and a launchpad for young talents, the organizers say. The organizers of the event are the Creation Association “Festival”, the Creation Agency “Echinox” and Orange Moldova.
