The funding formula will be modified so that more resources are made available to schools for support teachers, speech therapists, resource centers in educational institutions, said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun, noting that inclusion remains a priority this year as well, IPN reports.
“We will invest 10 million lei in the Resource Center for Inclusive Education. So, we will procure assistive devices for children who have special educational needs and need this equipment, these resources so that they can fully integrate into the educational process,” stated the minister.
In 2023, the Ministry of Education and Research approved the inclusion program for the next five years, which specifies solutions for the inclusion of children with severe disabilities. The plan provides for the creation of so-called “inclusive education units” at district level.
