Daughter of Ocnita district head was killed by husband because of his lover

The August murder of a woman in Chisinau was committed by her husband. The man had a lover and, being afraid that he may lose the property as a result of divorce, shot dead his wife near the building where they lived. The information was made public by prosecutor of Chisinau municipality Ivan Diacov in a news conference, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the prosecutor, the 37-year-old man is a former employee of the Ministry of Defense. With the help of the woman’s father, the couple bought two apartments, two cars and other property. “He killed her because he was afraid he will remain poor. This fear made him murder the mother of their two underage children,” said the prosecutor. Being probably forced by the lover to choose between her and his wife, the offender bought a mask, dungarees and a hunter’s gun. On August 18, he waited for his wife in front of the house and fired at her. The man’s lover is suspected of complicity, but there is yet no evidence to prove this. The man faces 12 to 20 years behind bars or life imprisonment. The murdered woman Angela Miron was 36 and was the daughter of Ocnita district head.
