The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 1,008 after the Ministry of Health on September 1 reported 13 new deaths. Among the victims is a 27-year-old woman, IPN reports.
Of the 13 casualties, seven are women aged between 27 and 82, whereas six are men aged between 58 and 83. Most of the victims are from the municipality of Chisinau.
Of the patients with COVID-19, 469 are in a serious state and 35 of them were put on a ventilator.
The Ministry also reported 288 new cases of infection with COVID-19 following the performing of 1,370 tests, 1,210 of which were primary ones. The number of infections now stands at 37,208. Over 10,000 cases are active ones.
Of the 288 new cases, one was imported from Egypt. Fourteen of those confirmed with the infection today are healthcare workers.
As many as 26,189 persons got cured of COVID-19 by now.
