President Igor Dodon signed a decree by which four judges are appointed to work at the Chisinau Appeals Court. These are Vladislav Clima, Aliona Danilov, Alexandru Gafton and Ludmila Ursu, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, in a meeting with the promoted judges, the President raised such issues as the situation in the justice sector, existing shortcomings and the necessity of doing high-quality reforms in the field.
Igor Dodon warned the promoted judges that they bear direct responsibility before the people. He called on them to observe the law and implement it equally, regardless of the political affiliation or beliefs of those tried, and not to allow acts of political or another kind of pressure on them.
