The checking of the lists of servicemen in reserve by the military centers of the Ministry of Defense is a routine procedure performed annually, Deputy Minister of Defense Igor Panfil said in the Government’s meeting, following reports that the authorities started to recall soldiers held in reserve.

“Under the norms, the lists are checked at most three times a year or at least once a year so as to update the database. It is a routine check. The servicemen are not recalled,” the deputy minister said, quoted by IPN.

In this connection, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca called on the politicians to refrain from making irresponsible comments.
