Demonstrators in central Chisinau in need of medical care

A number of persons who took part in the May 1 demonstrations in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau needed medical car. Managing doctor at the Chisinau Emergency Service Evelina Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo that three ambulances had been on guard since 8.30. Most of the persons who sought help suffered as a result of exposure to the sun. Doctors provided medial assistance to about 20 persons, most of whom suffered from hypertension and palpitations. A young man who lost consciousness was taken to the hospital. In order to avoid sunstroke and problems related to hypertension, the doctors recommend avoiding going out between 11.00 and 16.00, drinking at least two liters of water a day, protecting the head with umbrellas and hats and wearing loose, bright clothes.
