Deputy head of Chisinau Traffic Police Section indicted

The deputy head of the Traffic Police Section of the Chisinau General Police Commissariat was indicted and put under arrest for 72 hours. Another 15 inferiors of his are questioned as witnesses, but can become accomplices, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Ministry of the Interior. The Ministry’s Investigation and Internal Security Division, in concert with the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, started a criminal case over passive corruption. The Division’s employees determined that the inferiors of the deputy head of the Traffic Police Section regularly paid money for different privileges or advantages. The Ministry is investigating the related cases to establish the complicity, role and possible involvement of other police officers in them.
