Thirty parliamentarians haven’t presented their income declarations yet. The Central Commission of Control of income and property declarations announced on Tuesday, during its inaugural meeting that dignitaries must present the declarations urgently, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a Parliament press release, 1879 declarations have been submitted so far. Local administration heads are the least willing to present income declarations, as only 545 out of 963 mayors and heads of districts have already done it. Meanwhile, all the current Government members have complied.
The new board of the Commission decided to additionally request income declarations from deputy ministers, who were not previously obliged to present them. The Commission also initiated an amendment project that would oblige the heads of Parliament-subordinated agencies to present income declarations as well.
On Tuesday, MP Veaceslav Ionita, the head of the parliamentary commission of economy, budget and finances, was elected head of Central Control Commission.
The President's Office, the Parliament and the Government each delegate three members to the Commission.
