A prisoner of the Leova-based Penitentiary No. 3 left without permission the workplace located outside the jail on May 30. According to the Department of Penitentiary Institutions, the 23-year-old man served five of the seven years to which he was sentenced, IPN reports.
The detainee was doing agricultural works in the greenhouses of the state-run company “Complex No. 1-Leova”. He was to be set free before time this November.
Employees of the penitentiary service, together with the police, are taking special measures to determine the whereabouts of the detainees. He faces three more years for escape.
