Detainees to be transported in comfort

The Moldovan jails received nine special cars, meant for transporting the detainees, on Tuesday, December 2. The cars have heating, ventilation and lighting systems, are endowed with communication means. To avoid emergencies, the guard’s room has a spare emergency exit that can be opened from outside, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Department of Penitentiary Institutions (DPI). The cars (of which one is an ambulance) have been made this year. The Guard, Supervision and Escort Troops Department will receive three cars and the ambulance. The other cars are to be distributed to the penitentiaries from Leova, Cahul, Rezina and Balti. According to the DPI, these cars will offer the opportunity to transport the detainees in better technical and security conditions, observing the European standards in the area.
