The Diaspora Days will be annually staged at the end of the third week of August, IPN reports, quoting a Cabinet decision.

According to the Government’s Secretary General Tudor Copaci, the period was consulted with representatives of the Diaspora.

The Diaspora Days will be held at national and local levels under the Government’s aegis. Within these Days, the ordinary Congress of the Diaspora will be staged once in two years.

In the June 8 meeting, the Cabinet also approved the composition of the committee for organizing the Diaspora Days. This will be headed by the Government’s Secretary General and will include as members the director of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations, the deputy ministers of foreign affairs, labor, social protection and family, culture, and of youth and sport.
