Director of public TV channel “Moldova 1” quits

The director of the public TV channel Moldova 1 Angela Sirbu decided to give up her job. Her resignation will be examined in the December 17 meeting of the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova”, the Board’s chairman Eugeniu Rybka has told Info-Prim Neo. The Supervisory Board will only take notice of the resignation and will decide until when Angela Sirbu will continue performing her duties. Angela Sirbu was named director of Moldova 1 in February by the votes of six of the nine members of the Supervisory Board. She tendered her resignation on December 9. The reasons have not been made public. Both Angela Sirbu and the president of “Teleradio-Moldova” Constantin Marin were unavailable for comment.
