Doctor injured in road accident involving ambulance

A female doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service was admitted to the neurosurgery section of the Emergence Hospital after the ambulance she was traveling in collided with a minibus. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at the intersection of A. Shchusev and S. Lazo streets. The ambulance had the styrene and flasher on and was transporting a patient to the Emergency Hospital. At the intersection, a minibus Ford-Transporter crashed into the right side of the ambulance, where there was the 41-year-old doctor and the patient. The doctor suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma, while the patient – a trauma of the thorax and a concussion. Another ambulance arrived at the scene and took the victims to the Emergency Hospital. On February 15, an ambulance overturned after it was hit by a car at the intersection of Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Petru Movila St. A child of only one, his mother, the doctor and the driver received injuries. In a week, another ambulance was struck by a BMW near the viaduct. A female doctor aged 46 sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma and contusion of the backbone, while her 33-year-old assistant suffered a concussion and got fractures of the leg. The driver aged 53 and the patient also received injuries. Both the doctor and the assistant are still on medical leave.
