Doctors’ salaries rising

Starting July 1, the salaries of public medical and sanitary institutions that are part of the mandatory health insurance system will increase by 10% on average, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Oleg Grama, deputy Minister of Healthcare, said that salary raises will be given to doctors, medical assistants, household staff and administrative employees, with the exception of management staff, for whom the salary remains the same.
The costs of the move, estimated at 107 million lei, will be covered by the National Health Insurance Company, as well as by sources of the medical and sanitary institutions, including fees for services, and other sources that are allowed by the legislation.
After the increase, the average salary in these institutions will rise from 2611 lei to 2877 lei.
