The Constitutional Court (CC) rejected the Party of Socialists’ application by which they challenged the legality of the Parliament’s vote for the Filip Government, the party’s leader Igor Dodon said before the crowd of people protesting in the Great National Assembly Square on January 22, IPN reports.
A group of MPs of the Party of Socialists filed the challenge to the CC on January 22. These consider that the vote for the Cabinet is illegal and demand that the Parliament decision should be annulled.
Earlier, the Constitutional Court rejected another application submitted by Socialist MPs. By this application, the Socialists challenged the constitutionality of three presidential decrees – to nominate Ion Paduraru as a candidate for Prime Minister, to nullify this decree and to nominate Pavel Filip for premiership.
