Domnica Cemortan, who became a member of the Party “Democratia Acasa” (“Democracy at Home”) this June, announced that she will not become involved in the electron campaign preceding the November 30 legislative elections because it will be a dirty one, while the election results will be rigged.
In a news conference at IPN on September 10, Domnica Cermotan said she is disappointed by such a state of affairs in politics. “The political class is oligarchized, divided between several moguls who acquired police parties, and is managed together with several satellite parties. The oligarchs gained control of the political parties, the administrative resources of the state and the mass media, blocking any attempt to get involved in politics, which is not coordinated and serves their interests,” she stated.
Domnica Cermortan also said that the young people who find courage to become involved in politics are obstructed by the bureaucratic system and even the law enforcement bodies that take action by order of the same oligarchs that patronize them. This is how the young woman explained her intention not to become involved in the election campaign.
“It’s already clear that this campaign will be a dirty one, which will not ensure a democratic vote as Moldovans’ votes will be stolen. The same several oligarchs will control things, a part of them being supported directly by Moscow. I do not want to get involved in this dirt, but this does not mean that I will not attentively monitor the developments on the political arena of Moldova,” stated Domnica Cemortan, adding there is now no party for which she would vote in the future elections.
She noted that in the immediate period she will focus on the promotion of the charity foundation that bears her name and that is to be registered soon.
