More than 2.6 million lei was collected until now in the Ministry of Finance’ bank accounts intended for raising funds for the cleanup following the late-April snowfalls. According to consultant of the Ministry’s information and mass media service Cristina Nicolau, no central or local public authorities have submitted applications to be given financial resources from the given accounts, IPN reports.
The money collected into the accounts of the Ministry of Finance is to be allocated through the Government’s Intervention Fund based on Government decisions, at the request of the central or local public authorities.
According to Cristina Nicolau, there is no deadline by which the public authorities can ask for money from these accounts. This can be done even in half a year, but the requests will be satisfied from the remaining amount.
The people can donate money and can follow online the process of collecting funds for dealing with the consequences of the late-April snowfalls on the Ministry of Finance’s website.
