Drill held today at Bulboaca shooting range

Over 160 soldiers have been mobilized for the final stage of the drill Peace Shield 2011, which takes place today, June 30, at the Bulboaca Military Training Camp, Info-Prim Neo reports. The drill is organized in order to evaluate the operational capacities of the National Army in accomplishing peacekeeping missions according to NATO standards, reads a press statement of the Ministry of Defense. Infantry and engineer squads will perform 35 tactical situations of peacekeeping in different training places: patrolling in the area of responsibility, medical evacuation, escorting equipment in columns, protecting strategic facilities and interventions in assault situations, etc. The peacekeeping drill Peace Shield 2011 takes place between June 27 and 30.
