A man aged 36 from Razeni village of Ialoveni district was arrested by the police four days after a hit-and-run accident in which he hit three minors by his car, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, on the night of July 27, at about 03am, the police were informed about a road accident in Razeni, which involved three minors – two girls and a boy, all aged 17, from Porumbrei, Cimislia. As a result of the impact, the minors sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital. The driver didn’t stop to help.

Questioned by the police, the man admitted his guilt, saying he didn’t see the minors who were walking on the roadside. The driver faces up to three years in jail and may be disqualified from driving for a period of up to two years.
