A driver of the Urban Bus Company learned his punishment for corrupting the medical staff of the Chisinau Dermatovenereological Municipal Dispensary. He was given a two-year suspended sentence and a fine of 100,000 lei, IPN reports.
The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office said the man gave a nurse from the Dispensary, and through her also a neuropathologist, 400 lei to be accepted for medical examination in the absence of a medical certificate from the psychologist.
The defendant admitted his guilt and, at his request, the criminal case was examined on the basis of the evidence administered during the prosecution phase.
The sentence can be appealed to the Chisinau Court of Appeals.
