Drivers face fines for absence of winter tires

From today, December 1, the drivers are obligated to put on the winter tires. Otherwise, they face fines of 100 to 200 lei, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. Under Government Decision No. 357 of May 13, 2009, the vehicles must be equipped with winter tires between December 1 and March 1. The vehicles should also undergo a complete overhaul so that the drivers travel safely and avoid traffic accidents, Dana Andronic stated.
