Drivers obliged to travel with headlights on from November 1

From Tuesday, November 1, the drivers will have to travel with the headlights of their cars on. Press officer of the Traffic Police Division Antonina Talpa has told Info-Prim Neo that under the traffic regulations, all vehicles must have the headlights turned on during the next five months, until March 31. ”The mentioned period is characterized by unstable weather, rain and frog. The visibility is much poorer and there is an increased risk of road accidents. The European practices showed this measure is efficient as it helps the drivers and pedestrians to easier identify the units of transport,” said Antonina Talpa. The fine for not obeying this rule is 100 to 200 lei.
