The motorists and all those interested will be able to find out information about the state of traffic and possible congestions through a new service of the National Patrolling Inspectorate called “InfoTrafic”, IPN reports.
The “InfoTrafic” Center will provide information through social networking site and the mass media. Emphasis will be placed on the transmission of data to radio stations, the National Patrolling Inspectorate’s chief Livii Baziuc told a news conference. “InfoTrafic” is similar to the systems used in Romania and Germany.
Pavel Apostol, head of the “InfoTrafic” service, said the information will be gathered from the Road Traffic Monitoring Center, police inspectorates and patrolling services and also from taxi services and the state road administration. The information will be passed on to the mass media only after it is confirmed by a number of sources.
The drivers will learn about traffic jams and accidents and possible bypassing routes. Knowing what road sections are under repair, these will be able to better plan their trip, said the representatives of the National Patrolling Inspectorate.
The service “InfoTrafic” employs three persons.
