Drivers warned about risk of snowdrifts

Snowdrifts may form on the public roads all over Moldova the coming days, the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure has said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The traffic participants are advised to avoid long trips and to respect the speed limits as well as to equip the vehicles with winter tires. As many as 474 vehicles and 1,700 workers will be involved in snow cleanup and spreading of antiskid material. The head of the National Weather Forecasts Center Tatiana Strugac told Info-Prim Neo that the weather will grow colder after January 25 and there will be precipitation in most parts of the country. Nighttime temperatures will drop to minus 13–minus 18 degrees Celsius.
