The manager of a Cahul driving school was arrested for 72 hours on suspicions of traffic of influence, IPN learned from a press release of the National Anticorruption Center (CNA). If he is found guilty, the man can be sentenced to up to 6 years of jail or a fine of up to 4000 conventional units.
The suspect was denounced by a person for demanding and receiving 650 euro in order to influence the members of the examination committee so that they would give the denouncer a type B driving license. According to the investigation, the manager acted in coordination with other people, whose identity is yet to be uncovered.
The man was arrested at a gas station in Congaz, Comrat. The bribe offered under CNA control was found in his car. In addition to that, another 1300 euros was found on him. The suspect will face criminal prosecution.
