Drunk driver who killed two gets 12 years

A drunk driver who killed two people and injured two others was sentenced to 12 years in prison and was banned from driving for a period of 5 years, the Prosecutor General's Office reported. In 2011, the man was driving his car under the influence on the local road Bucovat-Nisporeni when he lost control over the vehicle and smashed it into a car. Two passengers died instantly and two others suffered serious injuries. The sentence was appealed by the defendant who claimed that it wasn't him driving. The Chisinau Court of Appeals rejected the appeal as unfounded and upheld the sentence.
